BRIEF – Chicago tops the chart for the most number of movable bridges in the world. Bascule bridges are the most common kind found along the waterways of Chicago. Few of these iconic structures are still in operation. Due to lack of capital repair funds many of these bridges are in a state of deterioration. The build aims to shine the spotlight on saving these impressive feats of architecture and engineering.
